How to setup your cPanel email in Mac Mail

Step 1: Add the account

The first and foremost step is open Mac Mail from the top left corner. You need to click Mail, then o to the Add Account.

Step 2: Choose Mail Account Provider

On the next screen, you come across the �choose a Mail account provider dialog window. Choose the option �Other Mail Account� from here and click continue button.

Step 3: Add Mail Account

On the next screen a dialog window appears where you need to fill in login details.

1. First entry is your name. Here you need to enter the name which appears on the mai. This is what displays on the other side when people will receive an email from you. Commonly, people can add their first name. Preferably, you can also add your full name.

2. The Email address, this is the email id that you are setting up

3. The email password, here enter the password. Preferably, in the combination of alphabets, numeric, and special characters. 

4. Finally, click "Sign In"

Step 4: Incapable to verify account name or password

On the next screen, probably, you will see a message that shows: "Unable to verify account name or password". However, this is normal and you just need to add all your details in the relevant boxes.

Step 5: Add Your Details & Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server Settings

1. Definitely, your email address should already be filled in this box. In case, if not then add it by yourself.

2. You need to also enter your email address into the "User Name field". So, the entry against email address and the username remains same

3. Your password should be auto filled in. In case,if that does not happen, then add your password.

4. We recommend leaving your Account type as IMAP. It will allow you to set up an email account on more than one device. You also have all your emails, folders and sent emails synchronised across all your devices. So, you have the account setup on.

5. In the next two fields, you need to enter your incoming and outgoing mail server. For both the mail servers entry will be the same. Also, you need to use the format like mail.yourdomain.com. Here, you need to replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name. Once again, you will get all these details in your mailbox through email.

6. After that, click Sign In.

Step 6 :Email Setup Completed

That's it, your email setup is complete. Now, click "Done".

Step 7: Mainbox Location

This step displays that, You will see your new mailbox when you already have other email accounts setup in Mac Mail. This mailbox is shown under your inbox folder.
