Distributed computing can be referred to as a type of computing in which diverse components and objects encompassing an application can be placed on multiple computers connected to a network. Simply put, for instance, a word processing application can comprise of an editor module on one computer, a spell-checker object on second computer, and a phrasebook on a third one. But, in some distributed computing systems, these three computers might be performing function on a different operating system. It is also denoted as fragmented or parallel computing, but most commonly the later term is used.
There are several technologies and standards which are employed to create distributed computing provision. At present, the two main standards used to create distributed computing provision are: CORBA and DCOM. It is quite flexible and scalable to support businesses regardless of their shapes and sizes.
One of the main purpose of distributed cloud computing is to seamlessly connect the end-users and resources in a crystal clear, open and scalable manner.
Some of the Key Advantages of Distributed Clouds are:
- Distributed Cloud Computing is highly secure and fail-safe.
- Distributed Cloud Computing requires a very reduced amount of network capacity
- Distributed Cloud Computing does not even require air conditioning.
- Distributed Cloud Computing requires very less consumption of power.
