Security Operations Center

A Security Operations Center is a location from where all the security related issues are addressed and resolved. Security issues arising both at technical and organizational level are dealt by Security operations center staff. Generally, this centralized unit is either inside an organization building or facility from where the sites are monitored by the experts with the help of a data processing technology. The major roles that come under this unit are: monitoring access, and controlling the alarms, light, and vehicle constraints.

Moreover, an information security operations center can be defined as a centralized location wherein the complete information systems of an enterprise are monitored. The major components of an information center that are monitored and shielded are websites, applications, data centers, servers, desktops, and so on.
