Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) is a not-for-profit organization that promotes research into best practices for providing security assurance within Cloud computing and education on the uses of cloud computing to secure all other forms of computing. Besides, the industry group provides security education and guidance to organizations implementing cloud computing and helps vendors address security in their software delivery models.
Cloud security alliance certification is one of the most renowned courses in the field of cloud security. Formed in 2008, the CSA leads a number of ongoing research initiative through which it issues periodic research, industry insights, case studies, white papers, tools and reports, recommendations etc. to help organizations and vendors secure cloud computing services. For instance, the CSA GRC Stack provides a toolkit to assess private and Public Clouds against industry-established security best practices. The CloudAudio project attempts to simplify the procedure of assembling audio data by creating a standard way for cloud hosting providers to communicate how they address security, governance and compliance.
The CSA also issues a Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) which is designed for establishing a baseline of knowledge on cloud security issues
