How Do I Turn On IPv6 On Other Operating Systems

A managed computer must be configured to support IPv6 addresses exclusively. It is also possible to configure it to support both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. It is necessary to configure the provisioning server to support both IPv4 and IPv6 to enable communication using both types of IP addresses. The specific steps required to enable support for IPv6 will depend on the operating system being used. In windows, only Cygwin 1.7 and above supports IPv6. A different approach is needed to turn on IPv6 on Windows XP and Vista. On Linux, the IPv6 protocol is configured and activated by default. If not enabled, there is information provided in the OS documentation about how to enable it.
