When data that is stored on virtual servers is copied to prevent risks of data loss, it is called virtual server backup. You can perform this backup by using conventional software for backups. This backup software is installed on every virtual computer and the backups take place normally to any regular backup target. Virtual server backup is therefore very similar to traditional backups except that this process is carried out on virtual servers. You will need an additional software license for this backup.
