SAP HANA is a modern-day database released in 2010. it is differently built from the traditional relational database. HANA runs in-memory which means the data is stored in columnar style rather than the typical rows model. This allows neat and fast real-time compute and analytic capabilities.
S4HANA is a suite of
ERP on Cloud software that runs on top of the in-memory database. SAP ECC users can reach the S4HANA only via the HANA Suite. S4 HANA users get all the features and benefits of the Suite and SAP ECC.
