Once you have purchased your server you must set it up. Login to your account with Go4hosting and click on “Servers”. Next click on “ Manage”. You must read the User Agreement and Terms ^ Conditions and then click on Accept.
Enter your server name. This will identify your account since there are many VPS accounts sharing the server with you.
Choose an operating system-Linux or
Windows VPSEnable the Overage protection in case you overshoot the
bandwidth limit. It will eliminate the risk of automatic suspension of your account till the next due date. Or you will be billed and must pay for the difference to avoid temporary deactivation.
Create a user name to log in. It must be different from what you must have created at the time of registering. Never use the same name especially if you are on
Linux servers or it will not allow root access that you otherwise get with a VPS.
Create a new password for the user ID you built. This will allow you root access your server. Reconfirm the password. You will get a message about the password setup validation.
In case you have the
File Transfer Protocol backups, complete the FTP backup login.
Create a FTP user name. Create a FTP password, confirm the password.
Click on submit. Your
VPS setup process is complete. You will get a conformation email to your registered email address from Go4hosting.
