When you want to change your
email hosting provider, you first should make a change to your domain name to point it to your new host say Go4hosting. It takes anything between 24 to 72 hours for the change to become operative. During this stop-gap period, there are possibilities of your emails going either of your hosts depending if the sender’s ISP’s DNS is updated or not.
Step 1: Activate your new hosting plan in case you have not done so yet. Create your new email hosting account with
Go4hosting.
Step 2: In your email application, click on “edit properties” of your sales@ account. Change your POP settings to the IP address of your previous host.
Step 3: Create a new email account same as your existing sales@account. Set up your POP to the IP address of your new hosting account. You will find the IP address in the welcome email address you received from Go4hosting.
Step 4: You now have two sales@account (one of your previous host and second that relates to your Go4hosting account). So, when you click on “send/receive” both the accounts will be checked for emails. Check for a few days and then you can delete your old account.
