How To Migrate Emails Into Your Smartermail Account From Another Email Provider?

Email migration into your SmarterMail from another mail providers or third party mail servers is possible by using mailbox migration tool in webmail interface. This will facilitate importing existing emails as well as collaboration data from other mail providers.

It should be noted that your date and time stamps will be maintained during import, subject to the other email server is following standard format in header of email.

In order to use mailbox migration tool, follow the steps as mentioned under:

1. Login to the SmarterMail interface via your control panel as user
2. Use URL of mail server in order to access email system.
3. Ensure that a link on the Email Manager page is displayed as ‘SmarterMail Manager’. You need to click the same to reach SmarterMail interface
4. Now, click on the icon of ‘Setting’
5. You will have to expand ‘My Setting’ as well as ‘Advance Setting’ in the navigation pane
6. Proceed to click ‘Mailbox Migration’
7. After the mailbox migration tool opens in a new window, import email as well as collaboration data from other mail servers by following instructions displayed on the screen.
You will have to get in touch with system administrator to import entire domains or multiple mailboxes from different mail server applications since mailbox migration tool is only capable of importing email and collaboration data.
