How Will I Connect to My Virtual Private Server (VPS)?

It is recommended that Secure Shell (SSH) I enabled through Web Host Manager (WHM). This will facilitate hassle free and secured access to your Virtual Private Server (VPS).

You can enable SSH through WHM as follows,

1 Log in to Your Web Host Manager account and proceed to ‘Account Function’.
2 Select and click the option for ‘Modify an Account’
3 Now you can enable SSH
4 You need to now login to your cPanel account and proceed to SSH Access to Manage SSH keys. You should generate a new pair of keys.
5 In order to generate keys, you should enter details such as key password, key length, and key type.
6 Once the keys are generated, click ‘Manage Authorization’ to download public and private keys.
7 Accessing your server in Windows is now possible with help of these keys. Now you should expand SSH option and click ‘Auth’. Enter private keys for opening.
8 It is now required to enter host name or IP address. Remember the default port is port 22.
9 Once you open this, you will be directed to username prompt. Here you need to enter username as well as password.
10 Now you have logged in to your Virtual Private Server through WHM.
