Cloud computing is an Internet based computing, wherein IT resources such as
cloud servers, bandwidth,
cloud storage, and applications are delivered as a service to the businesses over the network. Similar to grid computing, cloud enables companies to provision the resources from the convenience of their home/office, provided they have the Internet connectivity. It provides immense capability to store and process in a
professional data center. Furthermore, cloud computing is categorized into three segments – public cloud,
private cloud, and
hybrid cloud.
Now let's understand how does cloud works. It is a cluster of multiple servers in a network that enables individuals to quickly provision the resources to meet their surging business demands. Cloud uses a network layer to interact with end-users devices, such as PC's, laptops, and smartphones to the computing capacity centralized in a data center facility. End-users can access the computing resources over the Internet or company’s network from any part of the world.
