If you already have a server image that you would like to use on top of your
cloud server, you need to create a bootable OS storage from it. The process involves creating storage with your image and configuring a boot loader for it.
Begin by creating a server of your choice with two
storages attached. The first storage is the regular operating system disk and the second storage must be empty.
When the server becomes operational, you must login with root privileges and transfer your server image to the server. When the image is at the server, move the contents to the empty storage device. You will also need to configure a boot loader for the new disk.
Shut down the server; remove the first disk from where the server was running. The 2nd disk will now be set as the primary disk. Start the server and you are done.
