It is difficult for us to browse websites with a Linux VPS the same way we can browse using a
Windows VPS. Both the Linux and Windows operating systems are different having separate distinct features and
VPS service modules.
A Linux VPS Server is usually loaded with heavy service modules. A Linux VPS server uses Apache web server software, cPanel control panel with Web Host Manager, separate server for
email service, a File Transfer Protocol server, a MySQL server providing relational database management. All these services are supposed to provide an optimized high performance using minimum possible hardware in Linux VPS service.
This heavy load of services does not allow the Linux VPS hosting service provider companies to provide Graphical User Interface to the user. They avoid additional overheads as far as possible. This absence of Graphical user interface prevents the Linux VPS server to browse a website like a Windows VPS can browse.
However, if we are really keen to browse a website with
Linux VPS service as well as we can browse with a Windows VPS service; we have to opt for installing a Graphical User Interface in Linux VPS. This will allow us to browse the websites as effectively but it may increase the cost.
