There are not many expenses involved in switching to Microsoft Azure from Amazon Web Services. It is virtually free of cost, with some minor exceptions.
The factor that involves expenses is the type of Virtual Machine the user is using. The
Amazon Web Services migration to Microsoft Azure has also to bear the expenses of data egress charges incurred for leaving a
Cloud Service Provider.
The interested user can take the services of the Azure Site Recovery Software to migrate from Amazon Web Services, directly to Microsoft Azure. This software is excellent in migrating workloads. The moment the user creates the Azure subscription, she/he can pull down the ASR licenses, which are mandatory for migrating from one service provider to another.
There is no cost for this ASR license, if the process of moving Virtual Machines is completed within 30 days. The user has to bear the costs of running the
Virtual Machine in Azure, for storage and Infrastructure as a Service or IaaS computing.
