What do you think of Alibaba Cloud Function Compute? What impact does it have on cloud architecture and O&M modes?

Function Compute is a fully-managed, event-driven, serverless compute service offered by Alibaba cloud that can be used with its Object Storage Service (OSS). There are many advantages of the serverless cloud function compute. Users will not have the burden of managing and maintaining the server infrastructure. They can focus completely on their main business applications.

Function Compute enhances the user experience by offering features like performance monitoring, alarms, log query etc. It integrates all the services that are required automatically when an event is triggered by uploading some video or image data processing. When new data is uploaded to the OSS, the function is automatically activated. The function invocations can be done using OSS, API Gateway, Function Compute SDK, Log Service, or Function Compute API. It is totally elastic and flexible. Users can scale the services on demand.

Function Compute is cost-effective. Users are charged on the pay-as-you-use model i.e. you pay for the services you have utilized.
