cloud hosting service provider and has the potential to create benchmarks. But it may not be so simple as the competition is increasing and they too have some innovative features that AWS had a monopoly over till a few years back.
There is no doubt that the cloud environment will stay long and expand for the better. The scope of cloud computing is vast and the advent of smartphones and digital technology has enlarged its operations. There is plenty of place for AWS and the other new and old cloud vendors. People who have not yet moved to the cloud will do so. It is likely that the practice of utilizing the services of multiple cloud providers will be seen more often.
Amazon Cloud Services has a distinct advantage of being in the market for long. The company has gained the trust of its consumers. People are willing to listen to them and may take a trial with them rather than a lesser known name that is new in the industry. AWS is adept at all the new technologies that a consumer demands. It has enabled people to have a developed virtual cluster of machines on demand via the internet.
AWS aims to provide its users with greater customization at the lowest expenses. It can afford to manage with low margins and this could be one way it can undermine the competitors. The competition will be forced to cut their costs but the question that arises is how long can they sustain with low margins.
AWS infrastructure is huge and replete with resources and can withstand service delivery pressures. This gives them a big advantage. The other known players like Google, Microsoft, IBM etc. have their own list of advantages and dedicated customers.
Cloud will stay however time only will tell who will survive. Yes, AWS has a huge advantage over the others.
