Moving your
WordPress website from your
present hosting company to Go4hosting requires you to follow a few steps.
First, you must be sure that you have access to all the folders where your files are stored and the databases that you have been using and how you create a backup for it. It is better to find out the exact details from your previous host.
Next, download all your website files on to your computer using FTP. Next upload them to your new account with
Go4hosting. If your previous host uses
cPanel, you may use the File Manager tool and create a zip collection of all your files and transfer to Go4hosting and extract it.
Next you should transfer the databases. Create a backup of the databases and then access the phpMyadmin that is available in your cPanel. Upload your WordPress database and click on the “Export” tab. Select “SQL” in the default settings. Then go to “Options” and select “Drop table/view/Procedure/Function”. Then click on the “Save as file” and the “Go”. Create a new database by logging in to your cPanel account with Go4hosting and import all the content.
Update your name servers and allow 24 hours before the changes come into effect. Feel free to contact Go4hosting customer support team in case of any issues.
