Which one is better- Dedicated SSL Certificate or Free shared SSL certificate?

SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is basically integrated to encrypt the data that transmits over Internet. It is usually used in commercial websites wherein user has to enter confidential information like passwords or other credit or debit card details. There are two types of SSL certificate:

• Free Shared SSL Certificate- A shared SSL certificate is usually shared among multiple users instead of explicitly used for one domain name. It offers to same level of security and encryption as provided by dedicated SSL certificate to some extent, however, since it's shared among various users the URL doesn’t look professional or distinctive.

• Dedicated SSL Certificate- While a dedicated SSL certificate is actually procured for a particular domain name. It only works with that one particular domain name. It is integrated on the server where the domains website is placed and enables online visitors to access the website securely via: your-domain-name.com.

And it goes without saying that most of the businesses prefer to use dedicated SSL certificate relatively to free shared SSL certificate as it appears more professional to visitors.
