It is not that small and medium businesses are not adopting the [url]cloud hosting technology[/url]. They have several benefits of moving their IT to the cloud, however, there are many applications that the SMBs use that are built to work on the dedicated server. One fundamental reason for sticking to a dedicated server is the price factor. Cloud is more expensive. The technical requirements to ensure the best performance will be more cost-effective on a dedicated server than on the cloud. Building of virtual machines, storage units, and components do cost a lot of money which adds up to making the cloud more expensive. Another reason is the fear of cloud. Security to data and not knowing where their data is a resolute cause that is holding back many small businesses from moving to the cloud. With a dedicated server, they are in physical touch and reality which is lacking in the cloud. A small business does not require the network of virtual servers. An issue with one component will slow down the performance even in the cloud environment. Public cloud requires you to share the resources with others which mean you do not have complete privacy and reliability in performance which a dedicated server offers. |
