Though Virtual Private Servers hosting service has been accepted as the most useful hosting service provider servers by business class and institutional users, there are certain problems which are encountered by both users and hosting service provider companies in VPS hosting. The main problems those could be handled by the hosting service provider companies are also being overlooked and neglected by them except some selected service provider companies in the market. 1. Security Issues- DDoS abuses are a critical threat to the entire physical machine putting every website being hosted on it in risk to go offline. The server faces problems due to not issuing powerful passwords as it makes the server open to unauthorized intrusions. 2. Technical Backup Support- VPS hosting provider companies often overlook the necessity of providing efficient and on time technical back up support by skilled and certified technologists. It is a definite negative impact creator factor and damages the customer’s web performance badly, injuring his business. 3. High Cost- VPS is costing less than dedicated servers but costs more than shared hosting platforms. Customers with limited budget on hosting opt for VPS because of its hosting performance. Proper server management at the time of high traffic should be ensured by the service provider. 4. Technical Issues- Many service providers overlook downtime and uptime issues. They also are not conscious of quality of control panels provided to the customers. These are major areas of problems those need to be solved. |
