One can enhance the mobile experience by using Content Delivery Networks. However there is no considerable gain in terms of mobile acceleration. You can enhance the speed of document completion by about 10 percent. However one can improve the mobile acceleration by optimizing the locations of POPs. This is because the efficiency of any Content Delivery Network decreases with an increase in last mile latency. The basic purpose of a CDN is to mitigate latency by reducing distances between end user and the content. Therefore a more efficient CDN can certainly enhance the mobile experience. According to some of the experiments CDN could achieve 33 percent increase in terms of speeds for mobiles. |
