RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. RAID is now used as an umbrella term for computer data storage schemes that can divide and replicate data amongst multiple hard disk drives. It can be set up to serve several different purposes. |

RAID stands for Redundant Array of independent disks. It is commonly used to refer to data storage solutions that are capable of replicating data between hard disk drives. RAID can be used to serve multiple purposes such as data protection, faster processing, combining multiple inexpensive devices, etc. |
