How to change a cPanel and/or a root password through WHM?

All server settings can be modified easily through cPanel’s Web Host Manager (WHM). Many hosting providers do not allow access to the WHM for accounts hosted on the shared server. The accounts hosted on Dedicated Server only have the access to WHM. Following are the steps to change root password through WHM.

1. Login to WHM
2. Click the Server Configuration icon on the home screen
3. Now, click change root password
4. In the new password field, enter the chosen new password
5. Confirm the new password by retyping the new password
6. Click Change Password to confirm the changes
