Post subject:  Re: Different Types of RAID

The term refers to “Redundant array of independent disks” commonly known as RAID. With this specific technology, data can be mirrored on one or more disks in the same array for the purpose of data preservation or let’s say data backup. There are various types of RAID available with specific speed and fault tolerance properties. RAID level 0 is not at all fault tolerant. Levels 1, 5, 6, and 1+0 are fault tolerant to a special degree.

The term RAID stands for Redundant array of independent disks. It can be used to create multiple data backups on more than one disks. RAID is available in a wide variety of features such as speed and durability. RAID is available in level 1,5 and 6. RAID is used for the purpose of data maintenance. It can prove highly beneficial when it comes to restoring lost data in case of a natural disaster.
